The external Google Keyword Tool is also no longer available. If you want to get keyword ideas using Google Keyword Planner, make sure to sign in to your Google AdWords account.
With Google Keyword Planner, they’ve combined the functionality of Keyword Tool and Traffic Estimator to make it easier to plan search campaigns.
You can use Keyword Planner to find new keyword and ad group ideas, get performance estimates for them to find the bid and budget that are right for you, and then add them to your campaigns.
Deepti Bhatnagar, Product Manager, AdWords stated that they have added several new features with Keyword Planner.
I compared some previous searches I performed with the Google Keyword Tool and I see a slight difference. An exact match (arizona beer distributors) I search on before had 12 searches and now shows 20. I’m going to have to figure the difference between the Tool and the Planner.
